Choosing the wood species is the first decision of a project — and often the most decisive. Before shape, before finish, it sets the mood, the light and the way the piece will age.
Stable, dense, with clean grain, oak lends itself to almost anything: kitchens, dressing rooms, staircases, fit-outs. Light, it brings a calm, contemporary glow; smoked or stained, it gains depth and character. It's the species we work most, because it ages with elegance.
Darker, with lively figure, walnut dresses a room instantly. It calls for warm light and measured volumes: a bookcase, a low unit, a section of wall. Used with restraint, it becomes the focal point of an interior.
For projects that call for it, we draw on more than 500 species, selected and responsibly sourced. Wood also converses with sintered stone, powder-coated steel, glass and lacquer — for complete, coherent schemes from floor to ceiling.
The same species can change everything depending on its finish. Our spray booth lets us master lacquers, varnishes and patinas under controlled conditions: this is where the chosen species reveals — or tempers — its character.
