A full café-pastelaria renovation: a generously curved display counter clad in oak slats, topped with a stone worktop and housing the refrigerated cases. Matching wall panelling and benches extend the timber, which warms the graphic chequerboard floor and gives the place its identity.
The project thread
The curve of the counter is the centrepiece: a carcass cut on a jig, then clad with oak slats laid one by one to follow the radius without facets. The stone top and the glass refrigerated cases are set into it to the millimetre. All around, the wall panelling and benches are made from the same oak — a coherent whole, assembled on site to keep the shop's closure to a minimum.
