An attic room turned into a jewel-box dressing room: full-height walnut volumes that follow the exact slope of the roof, with no wasted space. Flush fronts, sliding drawers, hanging rails and backlit niches — the warmth of walnut put to work for storage.
The project thread
The challenge of an attic space is the slope: each carcass is designed and built to measure to follow the pitch to the millimetre, right down to the angled cuts of the fronts. Inside, the layout comes first — English-style drawers, shelves, hanging rail, ventilation grille and an LED strip — then it is clad in walnut matched grain to grain. The result is a continuous shell, where the joinery disappears in favour of everyday use.
